When the past still controls the present.

If you’ve ever struggled with heartbreak or depression or the weight of past relationships, past traumas, past narratives, it can feel like your life is already written. Like your mistakes define you. Like you have no choice but to keep carrying the same pain.

But what if you could rewrite it?

No one should have to live trapped inside their own past.

Why We Made This Film.

We created this movie to explore those exact emotions. Guacamole Yesterdays was inspired by our own heartbreak, past traumas, creative struggles, and the question of how to define ourselves as we move forward.

And it turns out we’re not alone.

The film has screened in 13 cities, played 11 festivals, won multiple awards, and, most importantly, has inspired audience members across the world to share their own stories:

  • “It felt like I was watching my own memories.”

  • “I didn’t know how much I needed this.”

  • “It sticks with you in a profoundly personal way.”

A film built for people who want honest questions, not pat answers, who want to feel something real.

  • I have never felt personally connected to a film quite like I do with Guacamole Yesterdays. It was as though snippets of my life were replaying before my eyes. Compelling, relatable, incredibly powerful. Manages to be both laugh-out-loud funny and ugly-cry sad in the same picture.
