Elevated, emotional genre films that make you feel seen.
If you’ve ever felt invisible or like your story didn’t matter, our films exist to remind you that you’re not the only one carrying that weight.
Too many movies forget the most important part:
how they make you feel.
Movies can feel impersonal. You watch them alone. You are momentarily distracted. You walk away unchanged.
But, a great film should reflect your life back at you. A reminder that you’re not alone.
We make movies that help you feel connected.
We get it. Watching movies in your PJs at home while scrolling on your phone is easy. But the best things in life, the life-changing moments, the meaningful experiences, are never easy. It takes a little bit of effort to lean into stories, to open yourself up, to connect with other human beings.
For the past decade, we’ve been making heartfelt, human genre films that have screened at festivals across the country, won awards, toured city-to-city in crowded theaters, and sparked conversations with thousands of people who told us they finally felt seen.
Good films help you escape your emotions. Great films help you embrace them.
Our process from production to distribution is driven by connection, collaboration, and community.
We make elevated, emotional genre films for people who want connection, not content.

“I have never felt personally connected to a film quite like I do with Guacamole Yesterdays. It resonated with me in a way no film has. This was my story of love and loss, of trying to cope, of mental health struggles and being in the metaphorical wilderness, of experimenting with treatments in hopes of somehow lessening the pain. It’s compelling, relatable, incredibly powerful, and beautiful.”

“Not knowing what I’m doing in life, Guacamole Yesterdays really zeroed in on that feeling of being lost and adrift... I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a film that balanced the humor with the tragedy so well. And watching it with an audience, you could hear the laughs and then you could feel the tension building and then you could hear the tears. What a great experience."

"I recently stumbled across Guacamole Yesterdays playing at my local art theater and it felt like fate. Thought-provoking and emotionally moving, I found myself thanking my past self for that moment of insight and self-compassion. I enjoyed it so much that I took my boyfriend to see it a couple of days later. It’ll linger in your head like a good song."
